He focuses on compliance, corporate and data protection law. Christian headed the compliance consultation department at Daimler AG where he was co-responsible for setting up a compliance network within the Daimler group worldwide. Prior to this task, he worked several years as senior counsel with Daimler Financial Services AG being responsible inter alia for IP, IT & DP law and public private partnerships (namely for the legal set-up of the German motorway tolling system Toll Collect). He is constantly practicing data protection law since 1996. Christian’s favorites are setting up compliance management systems (CMS), especially Data Protection CMS as well as Data Transfer Regimes for international corporations to fulfill GDPR requirements.

In this function, he has given advice on all matters related to GDPR-compliance and cross-border data transfers as well as accompanied several multinational IT and tech projects entering the EU market through Germany. Sebastian has assisted clients in forensic and litigation matters as well as during privacy incidents. Sebastian is a lecturer for privacy law in the Department of Information Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. He regularly presents on data protection in research data management at the Research Data Management Project Brandenburg (FDM-BB), a joint project of the University of Potsdam and the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. Sebastian is a native Spanish speaker and enjoys basic proficiency in Chinese.

He is now on the parcelLab team as the Director of Pre-Sales, North America, where he works with the sales force to transform the POST-sales experience gap for US based brands.
